A Custom Job
When talking about bespoke construction, this fitout was a one-off down to every detail. The BNA design for this “Gentlemen’s Lounge” apartment suite took its inspiration from the concept of passing time, the gentle curves and circular caverns mimicking the caves and circular formations worn into the rocky Australian coastline, over thousands of millennia by the oceans and winds.
Originally a 2 bedroom apartment, the interior was completely striped out to make way for the new design incorporating fully ensuite serviced master suite, powder room, huge “Gentlemen’s Lounge” area incorporating cleverly concealed bar, kitchenette and laundry facilities. The custom entry and reception with saloon inner pivot doors add to the feeling of refined luxury.
One-off design was the order of the day here, Agia Projects having custom made light fittings, door hardware, joinery, stone and upholstery panelling, and hand sown carpets commissioned to the exacting standards of BNA’s blueprint. Nothing was left to chance with all custom work shop drawn and prototyped in factory for assessment and detailed finessing before final fabrication could commence. Every piece of hardware and material to be used on the project was hand selected for the highest quality.
As always when working in an occupied building, Agia Projects faced heavy challenges in the logistics of lifting equipment and materials to the apartment and controlling on site works to minimize impact on neighbours and building management. As with all our projects heavy management and on site presence at all times was the key, using our tried and tested management system and personal attention to the needs of all stakeholders the perfect result was achieved with all needs being met beyond expectation.
