Agia Projects collaborated early on this Inner West project, working in partnership with Prineas Architects to establish a design and scope that fitted both the client’s design brief and achieve definitive budget requirements.

“Light and flow” were key for the clients – a sophisticated, modern family. The dark, tight rooms and circulation spaces of the home were entirely reconfigured, consolidating redundant pockets into large, open and light filled rooms. A large structural landscape modification was completed to transform the redundant rear yard and join it to living spaces, achieving inside/outside living.

This outstanding project was achieved successfully through absolute collaboration between the entire build and design team.

Scope of works included: 

• Structural modification and extension of existing layout

• Remediation of significant dilapidation and damp issues identified

• Entire stripping and relining from the ground up

• Significant services update and full re-wire to modern standards

• Sourcing reclaimed timber to match existing rotted out flooring

• Modern, custom replication of heritage timber mouldings

• Custom finishes throughout
